What's the best way to organize, enhance, and share videos?

Motionbox videos are stored in folders that you create and manage.

Now, you can easily:

• Make a quick mix of a bunch of new videos in less than 4 clicks
• Share a folder full of videos organized by date, event, subject…or any category you choose
• Control the order and display of your folders and videos
• Batch-edit the privacy settings and info for multiple videos

Upload

You know what mom always says: It takes just as long to hang your clothes up nicely as it does to throw them in a pile on the floor. Uploading to a folder just makes things neater, so you can get to the important stuff, like watching and sharing your videos!

Each time you upload a video or batch of videos, we'll ask you to put them in a folder. You can add your videos to an existing folder or create a new one.

Every Motionbox member has two default folders: "My First Folder" for on-site uploads and "Mobile Folder" for uploads by email or mobile phone.

Organize your video folders any way you like – by date, by subject, by event – and feel free to move videos from one folder to another.

Organize

Folders give you a quick view of the videos you want to watch, mix, and share. New layout options allow you find what you're looking for quickly and give you more control over how you display your videos to other people.

Create a new folder from scratch:

First, log in to Motionbox and go to http://www.motionbox.com/folders. Click on the "Folder Options" menu, select "New Folder," and give it a name. Upload or move videos to your new folder!

Change layout:

There are now two ways to view a list of videos: The thumbnail layout lets you view just the video thumbnails and titles. The info layout shows you descriptions, tags, stats – all the bells and whistles. Select mutiple videos:

One of the best features of video folders is the ability to select and "take action" on multiple videos. Click inside the checkbox next to the video title, or choose "select all" in the toolbar.

You can now add these videos to your Favorites, Groups, or Playlists. You can also combine selected videos in your Mixer to create a whole new video!

Use the "Edit…" menu to edit titles, tags and descriptions, or to change the privacy and permissions settings of selected videos.

You can move selected videos to a new or existing folder at any time, by clicking the "Move to folder" link.

Reorder Your Videos:

Just open the "Folder Options" menu and click on "reorder videos!"

Share

Keeping your videos in folders makes them much easier to share with the people who matter most – your friends and family. In just three clicks, you can upload 10 clips from your last vacation and share the folder with the whole gang. Or, create a single video in the Mixer to save and share.

Share a video:

You can still share an individual video from a folder page. Just mouse over the "share" icon.

Share a folder:

Share an entire folder by clicking on the orange "Share Now" icon on the left side of the page, or by selecting "share folder" from the "Folder Options" menu.

Privacy Note: To allow others to view your private videos, you must share those videos individually. When people visit your folders, they will only be able to see your public videos.
